again we have been burgled!

They must have come in by getting the catflap open and reaching up to the backdoor key, the took singstar, mics, and few games, my psp that had locoroco in it :( Seems very similar to what happend last summer so must been the same peeps. police have been here, fingerprinters have been here, we have called places where they could be taken to like cashconverters etc.

Door was locked last night and then when Steve got downstairs this morning he saw one of my garden shoes kicked to the site and went and had a feel at the door and it was unlocked. then came out in the livingroom and noticed the games missing and the singstar mics. then he came upstairs to wake me and tell me. I ran outside to have alook but we didn't see anything.

This is so bad, someone has been in here twice stealing and this time the broke in, last time I am guessing it was whilst we were gardening.

Steve also heard a bonk this morning so maybe that was them closing the door.

So I am going to sit down as soon as I have drunk my first coffee of the day and do some work. I hope I don't have to sit the whole day, as the week has been pretty tough as it was and there is still tonnes of wedding stuff to do too.

I think I want to move the blog to somewhere else, livejournal is a bit annoying, hrmm i'll see about that when all this launching stuff is over.

So Next week is MS week, ermm or MS two weeks as MS Society got their week after ours. Anyhoo on saturday I am meant to go abseiling, I have been so madly busy I haven't even had time to think if I'll actually manage to do this or if I'll flake out, but we'll see I guess!
Back in the UK, woke up to a lovely sunny day...ermm with the emphasises on day. Tried to set an alarm for 10, but the clock ended up on the floor when it started beeping, made a few more attempts to get up but it didn't work. Finally rolled out of bed 30 mins ago, looked at my phone, and it was 14.30...errr ok so there is daylight saving time to add to it last night but still...I have slept for over 12 hours, steve is still going...

I am even too late for lunch, so I am eating porridge and some rice cakes with Coffee and a glas of pepsi. And feel very confused.

But since the weather is so nice I guess I will go shake steve when this episode of Skins is over.

It feels a bit lonely here after hanging out with so many fantastic ppl in Seattle. That is the problem with Letchworth don't really know a lot of people here.

Will be busy at work tomorrow, and I should go back to the gym too, been used to going 3 times a week, so feel a bit lazy now, but with the sun today maybe I can convince him indoors to go for a walk.

ok back to my coffee and skins.

MMM lovely smell of breakfast being made, last morning here in Seattle, we are leaving in an hour for the airport.

Hope the flight is all ok and goes as plan, going back via texas again, not sure how much security we need to do on the way back, as we are leaving the country and going back to old blighty again. I guess we'll see. Hopefully this time I will see more than just one cowboy hat.

So my first visit to the US and Canada was very nice, don't really want to leave. Mostly down to our lovely hosts, we have been very nicely looked after. I really liked Seattle as well, Vancouver was very nice but massive, almost too big, I felt overwhelmed and like an ant. I guess London is big too, but I know London by now so I am not too scared. London is my old grey prossie.

And now back to Letchworth and work. I have been checking the progress and things form here, and I guess things are moving along there are things that need to change but I guess that can wait to Monday. I'll try not to get stressed about it now. Got till the 14th of April.

Ok time to eat! I see you in UK next I hope!

First thing I do when I get back?
Are Friends Electric

Or Gary Numa-Numa as we now call him....anyway...he was fantastic! He is going his 50th birthday tour and have been playing all the songs from the Replicas album. Now first off, I have always liked a few Numan songs here and there, I have seen him once before when he had the exile album out (i think that was what it was called) and he was playing with Sulphur. It got too guitarr wanky for me sounded a bit like he wanted to be NIN. That gig was many years ago, but I have never bought any albums or dived that much deeper into the music, but I have always liked his odd voice. And of course "are friend electric". When I first met Steve back in 98, we ended up at some Cafe down around totenham court road in the middle of the night, and this song came on the radio. I had never heard it before and Steve told me what it was, being a Blade Runner fan I liked the title and enjoyed the song. A few days later when I visited his house he played the song to me and I guess since then that has been our song.

On the day of the london bombings I remember the song coming on random on my MP3 player and I skipped it and felt guilty for some reason, got on the tube, and then got pulled of the Tube a few stops later, when we heard there had been some kind of explosion at kings cross. Not knowing what had happened I called Steve and found out he was at the office and ok. But before I got a hold of him that strange feeling that I had cut off our song was in the back of my head. Very silly I know, but that whole day was just very surreal.

Yesterday when Numan played that song I seemed to get some crap in my eyes, maybe some sand or something flew into the venue i don't know, but the tears started dripping :P

Sentimental stuff over. The gig was very good I enjoyed it, I was very happy we had seats instead of standing though as I was really knackered.

The O2 or the dome as it used to be was quite nice, we went and had some food first, at some burger joint, the chicken burger I had was very dry had problems swallowing it, hehe it got stuck at the back of my throat, but apart from that, it was ok.

Right now I need to do laundry, go shop, do some keywording, clean a bit and maybe go a bit of a workout if there is enough time!

oh and btw...how the **** could BWO not win!!! Why do the swedes always vote for the bimbo, have they heard how she sings??? Or are they too busy looking at her miniskirt and tits?

I removed the link to my lj from my facebook account, not sure exactly why, I guess I have been added by a bunch of old classmates and I wasn't overly keen on them reading about my MS. It is a bit of a strange subject to discuss with someone who haven't talked to in many years...

Not that I let it be that much a part of my life any way, but I guess it always will be however I see it.

In a few weeks time this article comes out in our magazine at the trust, that I have written about MS and social networking and such, I have put my name on it so I guess I will be outed then, but I think that is ok. I just don't want it to be everything in my life that is all...

Enough gloominess now I will go and cook some Curry!

First day in the new year! I had a very nice start to year or end to 2007 whatever you see it, Steve proposed to me in a very sneaky way. A few minutes to midnight he went and got this left over cracker that we had from xmas day and said lets pull this as we don't have any fireworks. In there was a Haribo candy ring, a bit strange I thought, and then he told me to read the joke/riddle bit and it said what takes 9 years to ask and just seconds to answer. Then he got down on one knee...and I said yes.

So I guess 2008 if all goes to plan I will be mrs Alexander!

Hrmm...Living with MS is really odd, I mean, the symptoms are so diffrent from time to time, that you never know what you are gonna get. I am still suffering from numbness, it has spread down to just above my knee. I can still walk around so I guess it is not really that weird, but it is Odd. But now I have encountered something even stranger, it is called "the MS Hug" and yes, it does feel like being tightly squeezed, or maybe like forced to wear a very tight corset. Yesterday it was quite bad, I mean I don't really suffer from any pain, I know some ppl have horrible pain when they get the "hug" but maybe it is because I have been taking Gabapentin for the burning pain that started last week. But it really feels odd and a bit panicky at times.

Life in my 30's

So I turned 30 last week, and almost like a "parcel in the post" as we say in Sweden I got a relapse. Very annoying. It is maybe not so bad as last years arms and leg episode, but rather strange and uncomfortable, as my left ribcage, stomach and side, is feeling numb and tingling, at times even like it burns. Yesterday I kept on thinking it felt like it was like I had had a skin graft and it wasn't even my own skin there anymore. Very odd. I don't think there is anything I can do about it. I will try and call the MS nurse tomorrow and see if she has any tips, but I think it is all related to this big ass man cld I got going at the mo.

Birthday was fun apart from getting sick. Spend it with some friends down at Garlic and shots in soho. Steve got me a Trip to Scotland i November for a week and I think that will be fantastic, and probably very cold. Need to get some good walking shoes for that.

No time for some Sudafeds and a warm drink I think.

x

Rain rain rain, and it is getting darker too...blah, summer is gone I guess.

Tomorrow I am off to Dublin for work, and I have been looking forward to it so much. Ofcourse faith or whatever has to throw in something to annoy me and made me wake up on saturday with vertigo again. It has stayed away for most of the summer, i think I had it last time in June. Yesteday I took some pills for it and thought i'd go away, but it came back again today and I swayed around like a drunk this morning. It is better now, but I just think the timing is so shit! I really hope that if i go to bed early and take my pills tomorrow that it wont be too bad once I get there. Ofcourse getting up at 4 am isn't really gonna work in my favour, but I hope I can lure the stupid fatigue away by napping on the bus and on the plane. If only my fizzy arm and leg will not act up I should be able to deal!

Ok Better go cook and do an online shop for food for next week and then off to bed...such an exciting life I live!
